#93 Penny Wright and Mark and Mungo Parnell

Marriage is such a personal thing. We want to see an Australia where people have the freedom to marry the one, they love, and feel proud of who they are.

Although getting married was never that important to us before we did it, our relationship was. Then, after 8 years together and the first of our 3 kids, we decided to tie the knot, to entice our friends and family to travel to be with us and formally celebrate our commitment.

Even back in 1991, we were sad that, although we could choose to do it, many others couldn’t. Hasn’t equal marriage been a long time coming in Australia? But now it really is just around the corner and our whole family says – bring it on!
